We had an amazing Open House at the new Red Cross building in Lebanon. As many of you know, the City of Lebanon provided a building and remodeled it for the Red Cross. It has office space, training room, and a wonderful two car bay with alot of storage. We had between 150 and 200 people come to welcome us in the new building. Thanks to all our volunteers who have worked so hard to get this office going, staff it everyday, and then planned and hosted a wonderful Open House. The Mayor, City Council, and our local Representative were all there to support us. Come and see us any time, we are proud of our new home. The folks in Lebanon have done a truly amazing job creating a working space for all of the many activities of the Red Cross. Several volunteers told me how grateful they were that they would be able to respond to residential fires without having to scrape ice from vehicles in the middle of the night. I am grateful that we have such wonderful volunteers who are willing to answer the call to go out in the middle of the night to help their neighbors! The "grand opening" was a wonderful event and I am glad I could be there. =)
