                                    Red Cross Will Be Recipient of Donation from State Farm

 

Springfield, MO.  -  The Greater Ozarks Chapter of the American Red Cross is pleased to announce that on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, representatives from State Farm Insurance will present a check for $20,000 to the Chapter with half of the proceeds to benefit the new Disaster Operations Dome and the other half to benefit disaster relief. Members of the media are invited to the presentation at 1:00 p.m. at 1545 N. West Bypass.  Local legislators are also being invited to attend.

            State Farm Insurance has been a proud supporter of the Greater Ozarks Chapter for 16 years.

            Greg James, Director of Financial Development for the chapter, said, “The partnership between State Farm and Red Cross has been tremendous.  We’re convinced that many families would not have been helped without State Farm’s steadfast dedication to the unselfish mission of the American Red Cross.”

            “State Farm’s mission is to help people recover from the unexpected,” said Curt Dreier, State Farm Vice President of Agency. “The Greater Ozark Chapter of the American Red Cross also puts their hands and feet to that same promise for thousands of people in Missouri.”

            All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from people.
