Joplin Tornado Disaster Long Term Recovery Committee Contact

NEWS RELEASE

DATE: September 26, 2011

RE: Joplin Tornado Disaster Long Term Recovery Committee Contact

As a member of the Long Term Recovery Committee, The Greater Ozarks
Chapter of The American Red Cross has the following information to
share:

If you have Joplin Tornado caused needs, and do not currently have a
caseworker helping you, or if you know of someone that has sustained
damage from the tornado and needs assistance, please call the Joplin
Tornado Disaster Long Term Recovery Committee at 1-800-497-0822 Ext.
243.

During normal business hours this line is answered by the Area Agency on
Aging. They will transfer your call to our helpline once you identify
your need for Joplin Tornado assistance. Please leave a message with
your name, address, phone number, and a brief message. A caseworker will
be assigned to you and will return your call as soon as possible.

After hours or weekends, you may call the same number and dial 243 to
leave a message for a caseworker. Your call will be returned the next
business day.
