CoxHealth makes commitment to support Red Cross services through 5k Run
American Red Cross, Southern Missouri Region: 4/9/2013
Mark your calendars for the annual Red Cross 5k Run in Springfield, MO. This year we are bringing you a 5k in a whole new way by adding the March for Military to this already amazing event.
We are proud to announce that CoxHealth has stepped in as our lead sponsor for the run. Brian Williams, Vice President, Chief Business Development for CoxHealth, attended the Red Cross monthly Board meeting on March 27, 2013 to announce the sponsorship.
“CoxHealth has a treasured history of honoring those who serve our country. Many of our employees, volunteers and staff are veterans or currently serve in the military. In their honor, and in support of all military members helped by the American Red Cross each year, we are proud to support the Run for REDiness and March for Military event.” Said Stacy Fender, spokesperson, CoxHealth.
The American Red Cross has a worldwide network that reaches service members wherever they are to communicate a birth, death, illness, or to provide de-briefing or counseling services. Through the Service to the Armed Forces program, this assistance was provided for 2706 people in the Southern Missouri Region last year. Through grants and a network of low interest loans, the Red Cross is also able to provide additional support of a monetary nature to those who give so much to our country and our communities.
Join us as we raise funds to ensure that Red Cross Disaster Service including the Service to the Armed Forces program is a continued piece of the response we provide in the communities we serve.
